Annette M. Lehman, 71, of 7 Bostwick Place, passed away suddenly Wednesday (January 2, 2019) at St James Mercy Hospital.
She was born in Albany, NY, April 25, 1947 to the late William Lawrence Archibald and Leah Wattles. She was a graduate of Hornell High School "Class of 1966", and also a graduate of Alfred State College "Class of 1969", with a degree in Retail Business Management. Annette worked for many years for LRC Electronics of Hornell, and was also very involved in the Compeer Program in Hornell. She married Kenneth C. Lehman on September 6, 1968 who survives. Annette loved sports of all kind and pitched for many ladies softball teams, and also loved watching the Hornell Dodgers, attending Alfred Hot Dog Days, and the Bath Fair. Her love of sports included baseball (especially the Mets) bowling, volleyball, and also enjoyed music especially Elvis and Ann Murray. She was a very independent, considerate and strong willed. Annette and her sister watched many baseball games of the Mets and Yankees on TV, and she finally got to see a Yankees game live in Toronto, and her sister got to see a live one in NYC.
She is survived by her 2 loving children Mark (Kim) Lehman of Hornell, Michelle (Dan) Messervey of Canandaigua, her twin sister Jeanette (James) Lehman of Canisteo, 6 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren.
The family will be present 11am-1pm Saturday, January 5, 2019, at the Bender - Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 354 Canisteo Street in Hornell, where Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, with The Rev. Katherine Griffis officiating. A reception will immediately follow at Powell Hall at Alfred University. Burial will be in Heritage Hill Cemetery, in Arkport.
