Anna L. Morris, 98, formerlyof
90 North Church Street,passed away Monday (December10, 2007) in Watertown,NY.
Born in Hornell, November 11, 1909, the daughter of Arthur and Sarah Morrison Phillips, she had spent her early lifein Canisteo, but many years in Hornell.She was a member of the former Spencer United Methodist Church,the former
Maple Court #24, Order Of Amaranth, andwas currently a member of Ivanhoe Chapter #160, Order of Eastern Star inHornell. She had been employed forseveral years as a bookkeeper at the former Hornell Sample Furniture and wasproud to still be working at age 85 when the store closed.
She was predeceased by her husband, Fred Morris in 1967 her daughter Louise Morris in 2005 and her brotherWalter Phillips.
She is survived by one daughter: Dorothy (Jack) Graham of North Hornell,one son: Fred (Beth) Morris of AdamsCenter, her grandchildren, Sarah (James) Goodenberyand Laura (Randy) Smith, one great granddaughter, Elizabeth Goodenbery.

The family will be presentto receive friends at the Bender- Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 354 Canisteo St, Hornell on Thursday from2PM until 4 PM, where an Eastern StarMemorial Service and funeral servicewill following calling hours at4PM. Burial will be in Rural Cemetery, Hornell.
