Anna May Mullen

Anna May Mullen, 80, of 11 Maplewood Ave., formerly of Greenwood, went home to be with her Lord and into the arms of her loving husband of 60 years, Gerald, on Friday (October 19, 2012) at St James Mercy Hospital.
Born in Andover, NY, July 23, 1932, the daughter of Henry and Faye Clark Beil, she had always resided in the Greenwood area, before moving to North Hornell in 2006. She was employed for many years as a nurses aide at St. James Mercy Hospital. She coordinated bus trips for the Greenwood Traveler senior citizens. She was a member and trustee of the Greenwood United Methodist Church, a member of the West Greenwood Grange, the Pamona Grange as well as the New York State Grange. She was a charter member of the ARC of Steuben and the Greenwood Historical Society.
She was predeceased by her husband Jerry in 2011, her parents, her brothers, Dennis, Lyle, Carl and Earl Beil, and her sisters, Mary Beil, Julia Coates, Carrie Jones and Virginia Vanderworker.
She is survived by her children, Phyllis Mullen and her sons, Todd and Kip Wormley, Todd's son, Trent Wormley, and Kip's daughter, Desirae Marotta all of Geneva, Jim Mullen of Wellsville, Flo Mullen of Barrrington, Doris Houghtaling and her daughter Emily of North Hornell, and Jayne (Jim) Amidon and their daughter, Kristen, and their son Kurt of Hornell. Her sister, Alice Jones of Dansville, her sister-in-law, Ruth Mullen of Canaseraga, several nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

The family will be present to receive friends on Monday from 4 PM until 8 PM at the Bender - Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 354 Canisteo St, Hornell. Funeral services will be held at the Greenwood United Methodist Church on Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at 11:00 AM, Rev. Peggy Knopf officiating. Burial will be in Valley Brook Cemetery, Andover.
