Ann M. Shanks, 66, of 313 State Rt. 21, passed away unexpectedly Sunday (January 30, 2011) at Noyes Hospital in Dansville



Born in Binghamton, October 31, 1944, the daughter of John and Annabelle (Patrick) Hendrickson, she had resided in the Hornell area for the past 20 years. Ann was a member of the Hornell Moose Lodge as well as the God's People Who Care Church. She was an avid bingo player, euchre player, and was known for her love of people.



She was predeceased by her father, as well as two brothers, Jim Tuttle and John Hendrickson.



She is survived by her fiance´, Bruce Voyles of Hornell, her mother, Annabelle Hendrickson of Canisteo, three daughters, Rose Teed of Hornell, Janice Peterson and Mary (Chuck) Woodrow both of Binghamton, one son, Jay (Tina) Dennison of Binghamton, three sisters, Evie (Richard) Anderson of Hornell, Betty (Peter) Heim and Pam (Roger) Sweat both of Binghamton, three brothers, David (Kathy) Hendrickson and Bernie (Rose) Smith both of FL, Louis (Ina) Tuttle, ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren, special friend, Judy Johnson of Hornell, several nieces and nephews.



The family is being assisted by Adam E. DuBois, Director.



A memorial service will be held on Thursday (February 3, 2011) at the Bender-Brown & Powers Funeral Home 354 Canisteo St. Hornell, NY 14843 at 6PM with Rev. Michael Halbrook officiating.
