Ann L. Crowe, 77, of Grand St. passed away Thursday (April 28, 2016) at St. James Mercy Hospital.



Born in Hornell, February 13, 1939, the daughter of Stanley and Ruth Hall Conklin, she had resided in Hornell all her life. She was a graduate of Hornell High School, and received her Bachelor's Degree in Education from Geneseo State Teachers College. Ann was employed as an elementary teacher at Canaseraga Central School for 37 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hornell.



She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, Francis "Jake" Crowe in 1973, two sisters, Joan Conklin and Joyce Dearborn as well as a granddaughter, Courtney Walker.



She is survived by two daughters, Susan (Scott) Wood of North Hornell and Kathleen (John) Walker of Arizona, her loving companion, Cork McAllister of Hornell, five grandchildren, Logan Wood, Jordan Wood, Lindsay (Issac) Spike, Quincy (Matt) Biamonte and Jake Walker, two great grandchildren; Liam Spike and Aurora Spike, her aunt, Rose Conklin of Hornell, Nieces and Nephews including Beth Remchuk and her children, Trystan and Zoe`, Daniel and Kasey McAllister and their children, Brandon, Joshua, Kyra, Caroline and Makayla, and Jeanne Shawahin and her daughter Nora, Several cousins including Sharon Francisco of Hornell,

The family will be present to receive friends on Monday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM , at the Bender - Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 354 Canisteo St, Hornell where funeral services will follow calling hours at 8 PM. Rev .Cedric Cooper will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Canisteo.
