Ann M Colburn, 65, passed away Thursday (December 10, 2009) at Highland At Brighton in Rochester.
Born in Hornell, March 16, 1944, the daughter of Edward L and Bernice Robertson Colburn, she had resided in Rochester for the last 20 years, and had previously lived in Honrell, and Canisteo. Ann was a graduate of Hornell High School, and Alfred State College nursing program. She had worked as a nurse for many years, and most recently as a title clerk for Public Abstract in Rochester. She attended the Parsells Avenue Community Church and enjoyed playing cards, her computer, and Bingo.
She was predeceased by her parents and 3 brothers Eddie, LeRoy and Earl Colburn.
She is survived by her daughter June Henry of Hornell, step daughter Glenda Wyse of Hornell, sons Glen (Esther Kemp) Cook Jr of Rochester, Douglas (Bonnie Trevino) Cook of Hornell, step son David (Joyce) Cook of PA, sister Harriet (Toby) Hollister of Hornell, sister in law Tammy Colburn of Hornell, several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The family will be present Tuesday from 2-4pm at the Bender-Brown & Powers Funeral Home where a funeral services at 4:00pm, with Rev. Dudley Jenkins officiating. Burial will be in Hornell Rural Cemetery.
