Alice Marie Packer, 85, formerly of 155 Seneca Street passed away Tuesday (December 14, 2010) at Penfield Place.
Born in Dansville, January 25, 1925, the daughter of Roscoe and Elizabeth Young Shull Sr., she was a long time Hornell resident. Alice had worked for the JC Penney Co. formerly of Hornell.
She was predeceased by her 2 husbands Robert McGregor and Charles Packer. She married Robert November 3, 1944, and was predeceased by him on April 13, 1969, and married Charles on October 17, 1970, and predeceased by him on August 19, 1980, she was also predeceased by her 4 brothers.
She is survived by her daughter Irene (James) Hendy of Webster, her son Gordon (Cynthia)McGregor of Canisteo, step son Richard "Rick" Packer of Hornell, step daughter Elaine Bacharski of Batavia, 4 grandchildren Robert Hendy, Patricia Fischer, Seth McGregor and Kristen Lain, and several great grandchildren.
The family will be present 10am-11am Friday, December 17, 2010, at the Robertson Funeral Home, 354 Canisteo St, Hornell, where Funeral services will be held on Friday, at 11:00 AM, with Father Thomas Gramley officiating. Burial will be in Hornell Rural Cemetery.
