Alice L. Hill, 79, of Murray Hill Dr., passed away Saturday (February 19, 2011) at Highland Hospital in Rochester.



Born in Adamsburg, PA, July 27, 1931, the daughter of Welton and Irene (Smith) Oplinger, she had resided Rochester from the mid 1950's until moving to Mt. Morris 1999. Alice was a graduate of the Brownsville High School in Brownsville PA and had been employed as a sales clerk for the Burlington Coat Factory in Rochester. Alice will be remembered for the love she had for her family. She was loved and cared for by many at the Livingston County Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Mt. Morris.



She was predeceased by her parents as well as her husband Clarence David Hill in 2010, two sisters, Loretta Evans and Vera McDonough.



She is survived by three daughters, Diana (William) Webb of Fairport, Deborah (Gary) Lorow of TN and Cindy (Bruce) Marvin of Arkport, two sons, David (Diane) Hill of Fairport and Douglas (Pam) Hill of Mt. Morris, one brother, Henry Oplinger of IL, two sisters, Ida Mae Herron of AZ and Linda Oplinger of PA, 14 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Honoring Alice's wishes there will be no visitation. A private Memorial Service will be held at the convenience of the family. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Bender-Brown & Powers Funeral Home of Hornell.
