Alice M. Geffers, 70, formerly of the Town of Wheeler, has gone to bewith her Lord and Savior after a courageous battle with Parkinson's Disease,Tuesday (December 30, 2008)at Fred & Harriett Taylor Health Center.
Born in Hornell, May 14, 1938, the daughterof Claude S. and Beth O (MacBride) Lacy,she had resided in Bath,and the Wheeler area for many years. Alicewill be remembered for her unconditional love for her husband , Dale Geffersand children, and especially her grandchildren.In 1996 she and Dale renewed their wedding vows at the Canisteo Wesleyan Church on the occasion oftheir 40th wedding anniversary. Her love for the Lord never waveredfor she knew as God promised, she would meet her loved ones and Him one day inhis kingdom in heaven.
She was predeceased by her husband Dale Geffers, whom shemarried on June 30, 1956,their precious little girl Karen, her parents, and 2 sisters Donna Ringvelski,and Beverly Sebesta.
She is survived by a daughter Cindy (Mark) Norton of Bath, 2sons Michael (Gail) Geffers of Bath, Bradley (Sandra) Geffers of Fremont, abrother Clinton (Sue) Lacy of Hornell, grandchildren Caryn, Cody, Kasi,Shelley, Brittany, Matthew, Daniel, 1 step granddaughter and 1 step great granddaughter.
The family will be present Friday from 2-4pm at the Canisteo Wesleyan Church , where Funeralservices will be held at the conclusion of calling hours at 4:00pm with Rev. Don Maynard officiating. Burial will be in Wellsville Woodlawn Cemetery.
