Robert Michael Houghtaling, 61, a resident of Edgeview Estates, passed away Thursday (June 19, 2025) at his home surrounded by his loving wife and children.
Born in Hornell, January 31, 1964, he had resided in Hornell his entire life, He had been employed at A.L. Blades as a driver and equipment operator for the last 26 years.
Bob was very active and community minded. He was a member of the Greenwood, North Hornell, and South Hornell Fire Departments.
He was predeceased by his parents, and his daughter, Emily Houghtaling.
Surviving are his loving wife of 39 years, Linda (Kinne) Houghtaling, who was the love of his life, daughters, Alyssa Houghtaling , Angela Vanderhoef, and Anna (Chris) Davis of Canisteo, his brother- Richard “Ricky” (Polly) Mc Daniels of Canisteo and brother-in-law, Patrick (Patsy) Kinne of Jerrell Texas, his grandchildren, Cody Houghtaling, Olivia Perkins, Payton Perkins, Paisley Davis, Owen Davis and Kyler Houghtaling, cousins, Michael Phillips, Sharon Phillips and his Uncle Chuck, Many nieces and nephews.
There will be no calling hours. A private graveside service will be held at Rural Cemetery in Hornell.
Those wishing to remember Bob, are asked to consider a memorial contribution to any Volunteer Fire Department.
