Paul (Porky) Wesley Smith, 61, a resident of County Route 85, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday September 11, 2024 at Guthrie Corning Hospital.
Born in Montour Falls, February 15, 1963, he was the son of David B. Smith and Elizabeth Smith. Paul had resided his early life in Hammondsport, and the past 30 years in Addison.
Paul was a true outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, working in the woods and communicating with nature. He had retired from Elmira Structure.
He was predeceased by his parents, his sister, Colleen Ohl, and his brother, Scott Smith.
Surviving is his wife, Shawn Flynn Smith of Addison, his daughters, Hannah (Tubby) (Aaron) Stearns of Addison, Samantha (Hemorrhoid) (Michael (Valentino) Swarthout) Stuart of Beaver Dam, sons, David Eugene. (Sarah (Air)Hollenbeck) Smith of Penn Yan, Lance (Suzie) (Christina (Weather)) Stuart of Addison, his sister- Peggy (Joseph) Streacher of Catusauqua, PA., his brothers, David J. Smith of Bath, and Jack (Loretta) Smith of Hammondsport, 8 grandchildren, Emily(Em&Em), Briceton(Butwheat), Owen(Uh-oh), Hunter(Whine-arse), Megan(Chatterbox), Brayden(Woodchuck), Grayson(Trick or Treat), and Lincoln( opps), nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will be present on Thursday ( Sept.19, 2024) to receive friends from 4 PM until 6 PM at the Bender-Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 354 Canisteo Street in Hornell. A brief service will follow at 6 PM.
