Ms. Mildred Elizabeth Rose, 79, of Angelica, NY, passed away on September 13, 2011, following a lengthy illness, at her home surrounded by her family.

 Mildred was born in Buffalo, NY on July 20, 1932.

 She was predeceased by her parents, Grace and Howard Bedient.

She attended Kensington High School in Buffalo and completed her higher education at Buffalo State College, Houghton College and Geneseo State College.

 She was brought to Allegany County by her first teaching job, at Wilsonian Academy in Angelica, which she later made her lifelong home.  Later in her career, she taught Special Education in various schools throughout Allegany County.  

She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Angelica, enjoyed volunteering and contributing to various causes, reading, and crossword puzzles.

She is survived by her five children: Leslie and Myron Rose, Lucinda (Michael) Lorow, Dwayne (Connie) Rose, and Melanie (David) Davis, all of Angelica,  12 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, former husband, Emmett Rose, and dear friends, Joyce Keller,  Ellen Beggs, and Marylin Yasso and her cat, Cali.

A memorial service to honor Mildred will be held at the First Baptist Church in Angelica on September 24, 2011 at 11 AM.  The family would like to invite you to join them in remembering Mildred at the home following the service.
