Margaret H. “Sadie” Ball

Margaret H Ball, 80, of passed away peacefully, Saturday (December 3, 2011) at McAuley Manor.

 

Born in Gowanda, February 3, 1931, the daughter of Perry D and Katherine (Stelzer) Hawkins, she was an area resident for the past several years. On November 11, 1953 she married Terrence W. Ball who predeceased in 1991. She had worked for 25 years at the IRS in the Atlanta area, returning to Hornell after her husband’s passing. She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church of Hornell, and enjoyed needlework. 

 

She was predeceased by her husband Terrence, her son Mark D. Ball in 1999, 2 grandchildren Jacqueline and David Ball, her sister Barbara H. Herden in 1999, and her good friend Guido Colamarino.

 

She is survived by her brother Richard D. (Phyllis) Hawkins of Mechanisburg, PA, and 3 nieces.

 

The family will be present 7-9 PM Friday, December 9, 2011, at the Robertson Funeral Home, located at the Bender-Brown & Powers Funeral Home 354 Canisteo St, Hornell, where Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 AM,  with the Rev. David Kilgore officiating.  Burial will be in Rural Cemetery.
