Karyl S. Doster

 

            Hornell

 

Karyl S. Doster, 80, formerly of 191 Hornell Street, passed away Tuesday (August 31, 2010) at St. James  Hospital.

 

Born in North Hornell,  May 13, 1930, the daughter of Karl and Julia (Kaiser) Schreck, she had resided in Hornell all of her life. Karyl is a graduate of the Hornell High School class of 1948 and worked as a telephone operator for Bell Telephone retiring in 1986. She was an active member of the former St. Paul’s Church in Hornell and a current member of the Almond Union of Churches.  

 

She was predeceased by her husband Donald A. Doster in May, two sisters; Judith Barnett in 2006 and Adeline Lemp in 2009.

 

She is survived by one sister; Lorna (Donald) Brink of Almond, several nieces and nephews.

Honoring Karyl’s wishes there will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Robertson Funeral Home of Hornell.

 

Friends may make memorial contributions to the Almond Union of Churches or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
