            Hornell

 

Gladys I. Schubmehl,  87,  formerly of Webbs Crossing Road,  passed away Tuesday (November 8, 2011) at the Hornell Gardens.

 

Born in Hornell, January 29, 1924, the son of John F. and Delila (Edwards) Muchler, she had resided in Hornell area all her life. Gladys was a graduate of the Hornell High School and retired in 1989 as a Supervisor from the Steuben Trust Company of Hornell. She was a member of the Hillside Baptist Church in Hornell.

 

She was predeceased by his parents as well as her husband Henry Schubmehl, one son, Robert Schubmehl, one brother, John Muchler, one sister, Carolyn Schryver.

 

She is survived by three sisters: Marilyn Ahearn of Arkport, Pauline Stricker of Binghamton, Adeline Duell of Warsaw, several nieces and nephews.

The family will be present to receive friends on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM  at the Bender - Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 354 Canisteo St, Hornell where funeral services will be held on  Saturday at 11:00 AM with Rev. Craig Brittingham  officiating.  Burial will be in St Mary's Cemetery, Town of  Fremont.

 

Friends may make memorial contributions to the Hillside Baptist Church, 805 County Rt. 66, Hornell, NY 14843.
