Evelyn M. Anderson, 68, of 321 State Route 21, passed away  Wednesday (September 7, 2011)  at her home.

 

Born in Binghamton, NY, August 15, 1943, the adopted  daughter of Allen and Lena  Craig, she had resided in the Hornell area about 26 years.

 

She was predeceased by her adopted parents, her husband, Richard Anderson in 2010,  2 sisters, Anna Shanks and Arlene Hendrickson, 2 brothers, Sonny Hendrickson and Jimmy Tuttle.

 

She is survived by 4 daughters, Shirley (Joseph Crosson)  Anderson of Hornell, Bonnie (Thomas Sr.) DuBois of Cohocton, Tammy Houghtaling of Cameron Mills, and Olive (Tom Braziel) Braley of Hornell , 2 sons, Richard Anderson Jr. of Hornell and Billy Anderson of  Wayland,  her mother, Annabelle Hendrickson of Hornell,  2 sisters, Pamela Sweat and Betty Benedict both of Binghamton, 4 brothers, Bubby (Ina) Tuttle of Sidney, David (Kathy) Hendrickson of Fla., Bernie Smith, and Fred (Shirley) Bates of Hornell  19 Grandchildren, 50 Great Grandchildren.

The family will be present to receive friends at the Bender - Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 354 Canisteo St, Hornell on Monday from 12:45 PM until 1:45 PM at which time a memorial service will be held with Rev. Michael Gallant officiating. Following the service Evelyn will be buried with her husband Richard at Bath National Cemetery.
