Ellen E Harding, 84, of County Rte 16, passed away Friday (August 13, 2010) at Jones Memorial Hospital.

 

Born in Angelica, August 16, 1925, the daughter of William and Mary Lyons Dowd, she was a lifelong area resident, and graduated from Wilsonian School Class of 1943. On March 30, 1946 she married Roy “Stub” Harding who predeceased her on June 17, 2000. She retired from Allegany County DSS in 1985. Ellen was a member of the Angelica United Methodist Church, and a member Angelica chapter #231 Order of the Eastern Star.  

 

She was also predeceased by her sister Irene McLean.

 

She is survived by 2 sons Gilbert (Beverly) Harding of DeVille, LA, Richard (Shirley) Harding of Angelica 5 grandchildren Richard (Celena) Harding, Roy (Chelsea Beardsley) Harding, Jeaneen Harding, and Jody and Joyce .

 

The family will be present 2-4 & 7-9 PM Tuesday, August 17, 2010, at the Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 101 West Ave Angelica, where Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, at 11:00 AM, with Rev. Tim Middleton officiating.  Burial will be in Until the Day Dawn Cemetery.
