Bradley J. Hamilton, 80, of 71 Church St. Ct., passed away  Sunday (December 11, 2011) at the Hornell Gardens.

 

Born in Buffalo,  March 17, 1931, the son of Harold and Julia Osgood  Hamilton, he had resided  in Buffalo during his early life, Angelica and the Smith Pond area before moving to  Hornell. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as an engineer for the Erie Lakawanna Rail Road and later Conrail. Brad served his country as a member of the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Hornellsville Lodge # 44 F&AM and a life member of the Corporal Joseph J. Mooney Post #2250 Veterans of Foreign Wars in Hornell. 

 

He was predeceased by his parents, one brother, Raymond Hamilton, and his step-son, Ronald Brott.

 

He is survived by his wife, Betty Patterson Brott Hamilton of Hornell, 3 sons, Bradley of Buffalo,  Timothy of Pittsburg, PA,  and Scott Hamilton of Tonawanda , daughters Margaret Beth Duffy of Orchard Park   and Edna Hamilton of Hornell, Step-son, Steven Brott of Hornell, Step-daughters, Jean (Clarence) Freas of Arkport, Judith (James) Bicker of North Hornell and Cindy Plank of Hornell, 2 sisters, Elaine Smith of Avoca and Laura Reihnardt of Long Island. 5 Grandchildren, 14 step-grandchildren, nieces & nephews.

There will be no calling hours. A private memorial service with military honors will be held  at the Bender-Brown & Powers Funeral Home in Hornell. Burial will be in Howard Cemetery.
