    Bender Funeral Home was established in 1949 by LaVerne and Luella Bender. They owned and operated the funeral home out of Luella’s parents home for many years. In 1981, Gerald Brown and Michael Powers purchased the Bender Funeral Home re-naming it the Bender-Brown & Powers Funeral Home. Bender-Brown & Powers Funeral Home is proud to be celebrating our 60th year anniversary of serving Hornell and area families in their time of loss. Chet Gosper and Adam DuBois have both joined the firm as licensed funeral directors.

    Brown & Powers Funeral Home of Angelica was built and established in 1999, at 101 West Avenue. Built purposely in the serene village of Angelica, we offer spacious facilities and plenty of parking to serve the Angelica and surrounding communities. We are proud of being part of the Angelica community for over 10 years. In addition to Chet Gosper, Jerry Brown and Adam DuBois are currently serving as licensed funeral directors.

    Brown Funeral Home in Canisteo, was established by Gerald Brown in 1963. In 1981, Michael Powers joined the firm and the home was renamed Brown & Powers Funeral Home. We are proud to have served the Canisteo area for the past 46 years. Gerald Brown, Chet Gosper and Adam DuBois are currently licensed funeral directors.
